The Port Blair is the capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Cellular Jail is an important historical spot in Port Blair. It is also known as Kala Pani which means Black Waters. Britishers used to arrest Indian freedom fighters and torture them in this jail. Port Blair also acted as headquarters to Azad Hind government under Subhash Chandra Bose during 1943 and 1944.See more...
