The Tourism Ministry has a scheme of approving Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Adventure Tour Operators and Tourist Transport Operators, the idea being to encourage quality, standard and service in these categories to promote Tourism in India. And, only these approved operators can use the term "Incredible India" that stands for their credibility and reliability.

Andaman holidays started “Andaman Holidays Golf Cup” from the year 2010 to celebrate golfing and facilitate experiential tourism.

As the leading Destination Management Company in the Andamans, Andaman Holidays has been on the fore front, taking up many path-breaking initiatives. In 2010, we became the first enterprise to be associated with the Defence Department's division in the Islands and to conduct a Golf Tournament for the Defence Officials in their famous Golf course, ANCOM Links. We’ve been toying with the idea of conducting a Golf tournament here for quite some time. Not only for the golf enthusiasts of the island, this can evolve into a bigger attraction entertaining the tourists as well. If a grandprix happening in Singapore has increased the tourist inflow there significantly, why can’t a golf tournament do the same to us? Thus, "Andaman Holidays Golf Cup 2010" happened in March 2010 amidst much fanfare. The Tournament had participations from the male & female golfers separately, while the female participants enjoyed having an exclusive putting Tournament as well. The other highlight was the fact that the tournament had in store some eight more trophies, than the usual titles, that went to the winners category-wise. Some of the exciting categories were Longest drive, Maximum Par etc. The Andaman Holidays Golf Cup also had a fun-filled valedictory evening.

We want to take touring in Andamans to the next level. Golf Cup is one such initiative from us as the change agents, to celebrate golfing and facilitate experiential tourism in the long run. This tournament ensured that the participants enjoy every drive and we would be hosting a similar tournament in a much bigger scale in 2011 and the years to come.
