Indian Rupee is the currency used in Andamans. Port Blair is the only place to change all major currencies in Andaman Islands. Please go to an authorized money exchanger or nationalized and other banks for changing foreign currencies. Mainland India has better rates and better facilities than Port Blair for changing currencies.

Port Blair the Capital of Andaman & Nicobar Islands is connected with Chennai and Kolkata by air. Presently flights are operated by Indian Airlines, Jet Lite, King Fisher and King Fisher Red airlines. Indian Airlines, King Fisher Red and Kingfisher airlines are operating flights between Chennai and Port Blair on all 7 days of the week. For Kolkata-Port Blair –Kolkata sector Indian Airlines and Jetlite operates flights on all 7 days of the week. Jetlite operates flights between Delhi - Port Blair - Delhi via Kolkata on all 7 days of the week.

Regular passenger ship services are available to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam and back. There are three to four sailings every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice-versa. There is one sailing from Visakhapatnam in a month. The voyage takes about 50 to 60 hours and the ship normally berths at Port Blair for about two to four days.

Some useful Snorkeling tips:
- Ensure eco-safe waterproof sunscreen has been applied 30 minutes prior to entering the water, use a t-shirt or rash guard too
- Choose a sandy area to enter and exit. Never step on hard bottom as there are rocks, corals and sea urchins close to shore which can harm you or you could harm them
- It is important to be aware and control your fins at all times; avoid kicking up the sand or sediment
- Leave coral, sand, shells and rocks where they lay, they provide valuable resources for marine life, never remove anything from except garbage from the marine environment
- Obey and read all posted signs
- Never swim against a current - swim diagonally through it

Fishing in the untouched reefs of the Andaman Islands, for long inaccessible and untouched this Island group is the last frontier for true big game sport fishing. These tropical islands of rainforest, mangroves and deep drop offs, makes an ideal location for any form of saltwater angling.

Our associates Sea Fishing India Pvt. Ltd., Monster Fishing and Surmai Fishing Club offer sport fishing from Port Blair and Havelock Island with their 23 feet and 30 feet boats with a capacity to carry 3 anglers and 4 anglers at a time for day fishing. The boats are equipped with a pair of 75 HP and 225 hp Yamaha outboard engine to offer a comfortable 20 knots cruise. These boats are suitable for stand-up type fishing and they are equipped with GPS, VHF and Sounder. Usually the trip starts by 0800 hours and ends by 1600 hours.
